ET Net News Agency reported on the 21st that Zhuyou Intelligent Manufacturing Technology (00726) announced, based on the preliminary assessment and review of the group's unaudited consolidated management accounts for the six months ended 30 June 2026, compared to a net loss attributable to owners of the company of approximately HK$270 million in the same period last year, the group expects to record a net loss attributable to owners of the company between approximately HK$270 million and HK$300 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026.
The expected net loss for the six months ended 30 June 2026 is mainly attributable to the following factors: a significant decrease in revenue from the prefabricated modular building components business compared to the same period last year, primarily due to the ongoing adjustment in the domestic construction market and continued pressure on the guided prices in the PC components market; at the same time, the group's optimization of factory capacity in response to the current market environment has also impacted revenue during the period; an expected increase in impairment losses on financial assets, mainly due to an increase in expected credit loss provisions for trade and other receivables in response to the current credit environment in the domestic construction industry; and expected losses arising from the write-off of certain subsidiaries.
However, the company stated that the above adverse factors have been partially offset by the following favorable factors: the group's continued implementation of cost optimization measures has led to a corresponding decrease in operating costs, resulting in an improvement in gross margin during the period compared to the same period last year; and the group's active implementation of cost control and business scale optimization measures during the period has led to a decrease in selling and distribution expenses as well as administrative expenses compared to the same period last year.
Interim results are expected to be published by the end of August 2026. (nw)
